Skilled artisans heat the metal in traditional furnaces and shape it using hammers, anvils and other simple tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarthebari is regarded as the epicentre of bell metal craftsmanship in Assam. Counterfeit Products<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Genuine handmade bell metal products can face competition from imitation products that are marketed using the name or reputation of traditional Sarthebari products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This can affect both artisan incomes and consumer confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"6_Limited_GI_Registration\"><\/span><strong>6.
