What is the APSC CCE ? 

The Assam Public Service Commission, the recruitment body, conducts the APSC Combined Competitive Exam for a variety of civil service positions in Assam, including those in the Assam Civil Service, Assam Police Service, and other allied services. The exam pattern consists of three stages: the preliminary exam, the main exam, and the interview stage. Through this rigorous exam pattern, candidates academic excellence, their understanding of governance, and their analytical abilities to make decisions are evaluated. 

Once APSC releases it’s notification for the APSC CCE , the applicants will be able to fill up their form in the APSC Portal. Those who qualify the minimum criteria of the APSC Prelims cutoff should appear for the main exam, which is a totally descriptive test. On the final stage, APSC conducts the personality test, where the Mains-qualified candidates appear. After each stage of the exam, APSC releases the merit list based on the results. APSC CCE 2025 Application Fee

The fee structure is categorized based on different applicant groups, and it is non-refundable. You can pay the fee through the official portal using a debit card, credit card, or internet banking. You have to make the payment before the deadline; otherwise, the application form will be rejected. 

APSC CCE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

So, now let’s know about the eligibility criteria, such as age limit, nationality, education qualification, and the documents required. If not so, then you know that you may get disqualified and your name may not appear in the list of candidates going to appear in the preliminary exam. Hence, let’s not waste one year of your life and do everything mindfully.

APSC CCE Exam Age Limit 2025

First and foremost, you must be Indian and not less than 21 years old, as well as not more than 38 years old. Age calculation will be based on matriculation/HSLC admit card/certificate from a recognized board/council. No alternative documents are accepted. Furthermore, there are some age relaxations too based on different categories.

APSC CCE Educational Qualification and other requirements:

  • The applicant must hold a degree from a recognized university under the UGC Act, 1956, or equivalent as declared by the government.
  • Additionally, the applicant must know and speak Assamese, an official/associate official language, or any tribal language of Assam.
  • Make sure that you have registered in a District Employment Office in Assam
  • Most importantly, the applicant must be an original inhabitant of Assam.
  • Furthermore, you have to submit “Form A” as per Government Notification ABP.69/2019/17 (06/11/2019) while applying for the APSC CCE

APSC CCE 2025 Exam Pattern

The APSC CCE Exam pattern is three-fold. Each stage evaluates candidates’ knowledge, aptitude, and expertise for different roles. 

APSC CCE Recruitment 2025: Preliminary Examination

The preliminary exam is the first phase. The exam consists of two objective-type papers: General Studies Paper-I and General Studies Paper-II (CSAT) that is qualifying in nature. Each paper is designed to test a candidate’s grasp of basic concepts and their aptitude.

APSC CCE Recruitment 2025: Main Examination

The main exam consists of 6 (six) papers and is descriptive in nature.

APSC CCE Exam 2025 Salary

Now let’s talk about the pay structure of APSC officials. The officers get handsome salaries, pers, allowances, and stability in their professions. A newly appointed officer usually gets a monthly range from Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 30,000, with their pay grade ranges from Rs. 9400 to Rs. 13,000 based on 7th pay commission. Their income increases by the state government’s guidelines. This includes time-to-time increments as well as promotions. After joining the service, officers of the APSC currently get an in-hand salary of approximately Rs. 65,000.
