Jobs at UPSC – Eligibility

Nationality Eligibility: To apply for the IAS, IFS, and IPS, candidates must be Indian citizens. However, for other services, there are several options for eligibility, including Indian citizens, subjects of Nepal and Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, and individuals of Indian origin who migrated from specific countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India. 1. SC/ST candidates can avail a maximum relaxation of up to five years.
2. OBC candidates eligible for reservation benefits can avail a maximum relaxation of up to three years.
3. Defense Services Personnel disabled in operations and subsequently released can avail a maximum relaxation of up to three years.
4. Ex-servicemen who have rendered a minimum of five years of military service can avail a maximum relaxation of up to five years.
5. Ex-servicemen who have completed an initial period of assignment of five years of military service can also avail a maximum relaxation of up to five years.
